That’s right, every game in the Mega Man X series, 8 in total, will be making their way onto modern consoles and PC next year, Capcom have revealed. It’s still unclear at this stage if the games will be coming as part of a Collection or available separately. Summer 2018 is the target window for release, and we can expect more details over the coming months.

That’s not all, as the next installment in the mainline series will also be coming. Mega Man 11 is scheduled to launch on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Switch sometime late 2018. In the trailer below you can see immediately how the game is taking a different art style, as gone are the sprites which are replaced by 3D character models and hand-painted backgrounds.
